I’m an early morning runner. 4:30AM to be exact. I live in a subburb and my running route takes me passed creeks and bayous. I was trudging through the last 1/4 of my run this morning when all of a sudden I heard a noise that sounded like an animal charging me. I turned real fast and still could not see it. the noise of tree branches and running became louder and louder the hair on my neck was totally standing on end. Still I could not see it, my heart was pounding through my chest, and then it appeared. A big ol’ bird trying to fly away through the tree branches. I must have startled it. I pretty much was able to sprint home the rest of the way. Like Bill Cosby once said “First I said the word, then I did it!” (LOL). at least it wasn’t a dog. Have a great run, David
